Navigating The EEGer Screen In Session with Michelle Presniak

This 60-minute webinar will quickly orient you with the most important elements of the EEGer Therapist Screen, and how to use them to help your clients succeed.

Have you recently completed your basic EEGer training? As you start training with clients, are you noticing that you do not quite understand the EEGer screen in front of you?

To become an effective neurofeedback clinician, it sometimes feels as though there is a mountain of knowledge and data you have to understand. In this one-hour webinar, Dr. Presniak will explain the basic EEGer screen, how the EEG data may relate to your client symptoms, how to make adjustments during and between sessions, tips to know if you are on the right protocol, and how you can use the EEG data to understand your client more deeply.

Dr. Presniak. will also provide examples of how you can use the data in front of you to facilitate your client’s neurofeedback training. The webinar is 60 minutes and will be an open format where you can ask questions as she walks you through each component.

What You'll Learn
1) Become more familiar with each component of the EEGer screens (e.g., average ampitude, reward percentages, spectral display);

2) Learn how and why to adjust thresholds during and/or between sessions;

3) Examine in more detail what the ideal average amplitudes are (depending on the population norms and your clients’ relative data); and

4) Discuss how the clients’ subjective experience may related to changes in their EEG.

Dr. Michelle Presniak graduated with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2009 and began using EEGer Neurofeedback in 2011. She started utilizing neurofeedback with military members and police officers suffering with PTSD and has since expanded to utilizing it across many populations including depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, autism spectrum, concussions and peak performance. She opened the Ottawa Neurofeedback & Psychotherapy Centre in 2014 and the Toronto Neurofeedback & Psychotherapy Centre in 2018.
