Overview

The Ongoing Attuned Neurofeedback Mentoring Course (OAMC) supports the early enhancement of foundational clinical neurofeedback skills, along with the integration and advancement of skills for more seasoned providers. OAMC is unique in its weekly use of participants' prepared case consultations and spontaneous group questions to guide the teaching topics of the week. OAMC starts where you are and stretches with you as you gain greater confidence and capacity in your skills as a neurofeedback provider.

How Is This Course Different?

Your instructors provide a safe and respectful environment where every question has a place, and all experiences as neurofeedback providers are discussed with interest. OAMC combines the organic and relevant learning of a case consultation model with focused teaching of important clinical neurofeedback skills. Along with participant case presentations, group members may be asked to lead short discussions on a specific skill set to enhance both individual and group learning.

OAMC’s dynamic teaching and consultation model provides instruction and guidance to support your growth in becoming a versatile and confident neurofeedback provider. Our active participant format allows material to be easily integrated into daily work with clients as we introduce learning topics fitted to both individual and group goals. Our ‘grow-with-you' structure makes the course suitable as a one-time, stand-alone course, and as an ongoing path of professional clinical development.

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for experienced providers. If you have 6 months or more of being a neurofeedback provider or have previously taken a mentoring course with us we encourage you to enroll today!

If you are a new provider or have less than 6 months of experience, we offer a version for beginners: Beginner Attuned Neurofeedback Mentoring Course (BAMC).

Structure of the Course

Our 60-minute format requires live group participation.* Each participant will be assigned one or more individual case presentation times, and also may be asked to facilitate discussion on a particular skill set to advance the learning process. In preparation for scheduled presentations, participants are required to provide case presentation information several days in advance by posting on our Heartbeat! course community forum.

*Exceptions to live participation may be granted on an individual basis.

Foundational Skills

To support the learning objectives of OAMC participants, three recommended foundational skills webinars are available through EEGer Learn. These courses are offered at a 20% discount for participants to aid them in getting the most out of their group presentations and mentoring discussions.

The Attuned NF Mentoring course with Ellen and Clair is wonderfully supportive! They are both encouraging and affirming, inspiring me to grow and have more confidence in this challenging and crucially important field. The group format urged me to be better organized and curious when presenting client information.
